Tuesday’s earthquake rattled neighborhoods of Kathmandu, bringing down buildings and contributing to further destruction of homes and businesses in the region. This video shows a five-story building collapsing amid a city block as onlookers stand back watching amid rubble in the street.

西班牙足球甲級聯賽勁旅皇家馬德里隊超級球星克里斯蒂亞諾·羅納度（C羅）（見圖，歐新社），樂善好施的美談再添一樁，她已捐獻700萬歐元（約台幣2億4440萬元）給國際人道慈善組織「拯救兒童基金會」（Save the Children Fund），俾提供尼泊爾受災家戶糧食、飲用水與衛生器材。

C羅樂善好施，曾拍賣他2011年榮獲的「歐洲金靴」，得款150萬歐元全數救助巴勒斯坦人自治區迦薩走廊的兒童。其他善舉包括：捐助2004年南亞大海嘯印尼災民；2014年全額墊付西班牙1名癲癇兒動腦部手術的費用8萬3000美元。
