針對民進黨呼籲特偵組重啟追查頂新捐給國民黨的新台幣525萬元金流去向，林奕華晚間透過新聞稿批評，民進黨老調重彈，國民黨已多次聲明，從民國97年到102年間均未收受頂新集團政治獻金，2012總統大選前，馬吳全國競選總部也未收受頂新集團政治獻金。

林奕華表示，蔡英文說過，「負面抹黑可能有一時的效果，但無助國家治理」，希望蔡英文應該力行曾宣示「這種選舉文化必須要被改變」的承諾，不要再做不實的指控，或惡意的抹黑、污衊。1040707

林奕華指出，立法院長王金平公開受訪時也清楚說明，「這筆525萬元不是政治獻金，是地方黨部輔選活動，活動有人捐款，捐了525萬元，已如數交給地方黨部運作，有活動內容明細與收據」。
